About Us

Company Overview

Hager-Richter Geoscience, Inc. (HRGS) is an established small business that specializes in surface and borehole geophysics services for engineering and environmental applications (NAICS 541360). The firm has been in business since 1984, has grown to be one of the largest full service geophysical specialty firms in the eastern United States, and has earned a national reputation for quality geophysical services.

HRGS has fully staffed and equipped offices in Derry, New Hampshire and Fords, New Jersey, allowing rapid response to projects anywhere in the eastern United States and beyond. HRGS specializes in surface and borehole geophysical services for environmental and engineering investigations, geotechnical support services, subsurface utility engineering services (designation and mapping), and non-destructive testing services. Routine geophysical services include ground penetrating radar (GPR), electromagnetic induction (EM31 and EM61), magnetics, seismic refraction/reflection, VLF, high resolution borehole geophysical logging (ATV, OTV, HPFM, and conventional logs), and others. The firm owns the equipment it normally uses so that it does not rely on the rental schedules of others.

HRGS works exceptionally well as a member of a team and as a specialty geophysical subconsultant for the engineering and environmental communities. HRGS provides technical services that complement the expertise of clients and other project team members, and HRGS is prepared to rapidly respond to projects anywhere in the United States.
