Dorothy Richter, P.G., President, and Gene Simmons, Ph.D., P.G., Vice President, lead Hager-Richter Geoscience. They both assure that each of our staff is provided the right type of work environment to flourish-both professionally and personally.

Dorothy Richter, the founding principal of the firm, has over 35 years professional experience in geology and geophysics. Her professional experience includes positions as Staff Research Geologist at MIT, as Chief Geologist for an international quarrying company, and, since 1984, as the leading Principal of Hager-Richter. Ms. Richter is a member of the New Hampshire Board of Professional Geologists.

Dr. Gene Simmons is an internationally recognized expert in Geophysics. He has been Vice President of Hager-Richter since 1989, when he took early retirement from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he had been Professor of Geophysics for 24 years (and is currently Professor Emeritus). Dr. Simmons also was Chief Scientist at NASA's Manned Spacecraft Center (now Johnson Space Center) in Houston during the Apollo missions to the Moon.
